Sims 4: New World Challenge
I had a crazy idea a little while ago, it's for the Sims 4, and thought I'd share it here. I'll start with a completely empty save file. There are a few out there to download. Then I'll create a family with six infants, and two adults, completely unrelated. I tried it initially with one, but it was too difficult that I had to hire a nanny, which kind of defeats the story of being crash landed on a new planet thing. Then once in the game, I'll use a cheat code to turn the two adults into servo sims, and build them a home that looks like a crashed spaceship. The servo's raise the children until they're grown enough to move out. I don't know if they can move out on their own at teenagerhood, or young adulthood, but whenever it is, the children divide up the household goods and money and move out. Then I'll play rotationally with each sim. As I achieve certain challenges, I can open up new things, like traveling to new worlds and jobs and such. I haven't written out all of the rules yet, but I anticipate something similar to the Apocalypse Challenge that I used to play for Sims 3, years ago. Eventually I can earn more settlers, or even the ability to socialize with the existing townies, but at first it will be limited. I'm also thinking of limiting it to only eating quick meals until someone collects every plant in game and catalogizes them. No one is brave enough to trust anything until then.
Anyways, I will be attempting trials and eventually I'll write something up, and post it here. I'm thinking your sims are from a ship sent from sim-world when a disaster happened, and your nanny-bots are what was onboard to help them survive. But something went wrong with the landing. I'm planning on having you deactivate your nanny bot sims when the kids move out. Or kill them in some way, I don't know. But I may decide to change that in some way.
